In the early 1900s, Japanese-born engineer and entrepreneur Jujiro Matsuda built a bicycle factory in Hiroshima. In 1920, he began producing motorcycles, and shortly thereafter cars. In 1984, the company changed its name to Mazda. Today, Mazda offers a wide range of vehicles, including sedans, coupes, hatchbacks and crossovers. In addition, it always tries to create new, innovative ways to protect the environment by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Mazda has a long history of creating legendary sports cars. One of the company’s first models was the Mazda Cosmo Sport 110S with a rotary engine, which was inspired by concepts created for aero engines. Launched in 1967, only about 2,600 were produced before production ended in 1972.
The company is also known for the Model RX-7, the first of which was presented in 1978. The third generation of the RX-7 made its debut in 1991, and a year later a special edition appeared, which was distinguished by a unique color and a top speed of 200 miles per hour.
The Mazda MX-5 model is also one of the most famous sports cars of the brand. Introduced in 1989, it was in production for 22 years before production was discontinued in 2011. Then, after a five-year hiatus, Mazda introduced the fourth-generation model, which features new exterior colors and interior options, and advanced technology such as smartphone integration via Bluetooth or USB audio interfaces.
In addition to high-end sports cars, Mazda also produces perfectly balanced sedans and crossovers with a wide range of available functions.
In 1996, Mazda became the first Japanese car manufacturer to sell diesel cars in North America with the Millenia S model. Mazda also has a long history of selling high-quality used cars online through its partner CarMax.
Today, its line of sedans and crossovers includes the 3, 6, CX-5 and CX-9 models. It also offers the MX-5 Miata roadster.
The company’s mission is to become “the most rewarding car brand by exceeding customer expectations”. To this end, Mazda is constantly developing new and innovative products that are safe, stylish and fun to drive.
